The Engineer/Ahmed Ahmed Al.Basha,who is the general director of the organization, received Mr. Amwar Al.Tawel, The international expert in the field of standards and quality, and the delegate of the European union to support the membership of Yemen to the WTO bound in the library of the professor.   During the meeting, they discussed the ways of enhancing the cooperation in the field of measurements and standardization. Also they discussed ways of activating the relationship between the organization and the European Union. The general director expressed his pleasure and appreciation to the visit of the European Union’s delegate, and to what is show by the Union of cooperation and technical support to the organization. Mr. Anwer Al.Tawel said that  the purpose of his visit to the organization is to identify its activities and practices as a prelude to put the supporting proposals of these activities in accordance with the rules and principles of the WTO. He add that the organization does large and varied activities in the national economy and it has made significant achievements despite the short period that started the activity. Also, he said, adding that the different departments working in the organization needs more support which may be the form of advanced training, as well as modify some of the system to be conformed with the international practice, especially of the WTO. And noting that the visit, which lasted four days has left a number of recommendation will be submitted to the Yemen organization and will be presented to the European Union.
