The authority stated in a press release issued by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the ship that was refused contained 76 thousand bags of wheat flour, in violation of approved standards. The report indicated that during the examination process, live insects and larvae were found in the product, confirming that this quantity not suitable for human consumption was refused entry.YSMO confirmed that it will not allow the entry of any shipments or goods that violate the approved standards, based on its tasks and its supervisory role on consumer materials and goods that reach Yemeni markets through the various ports and outlets of the governorates.
